Our Classroom
We know how important it is for our First Steps Pre-School to be a home away from home for your little ones!
We love being within the beautiful St. Michael’s buildings and feel that the children thrive in their surroundings.
First Steps operates from one large classroom, which we carefully lay out into different areas. It is a great space where all children can learn together in one spacious environment, with specific learning opportunities for different age groups.
Our age groups are for 2- 5 years, with the following staff ratios:
1 Adult to 4 Children for children under 3 years, and 1 Adult to 8 Children for over 3 years.
We aim to keep our classroom as creatively decorated as possible to engage our First Steps pre-schoolers, as well as having toys and play equipment organised in a Montessori style to encourage independent play, learning and responsibility.
